 Harbor Seal

Harbor Seals pretty much split their time between land and sea. When foraging in the ocean they can remain submerged for long periods of time, upwards of thirty minutes or more. But Harbor Seals appear to enjoy nothing more than hauling out on a beach or rocks to nap and bask in the sun. They are often mistaken for California Sea Lions. Harbor Seals are heavier bodied, have a mottled coloration and are the earless ones.
