| Range: Found worldwide primarily in temperate and subtropical
waters White Sharks can reach nineteen feet or more in length. They begin life feeding on fish. Once reaching a size of about 9 to 10 feet they begin to prey on marine mammals such as seals and sea lions. White Sharks are an incredibly successful species. Examples of their fossil vertebrae have been dated to the Pliocene Age or about one-million years old. |
