| The
Redwood, also known as the Coast Redwood, grows in a very narrow strip
along the California coastline. They are found
from the Oregon border south to Big Sur, never farther inland than 20
to 30 miles. Mature trees can reach heights of over 300 feet with trunk
diameters of over 20 feet. The age of some individuals is believed to
be over 2000 years. |
